Profile

I have been professionally involved in popular music production, performance, and sound recording for several artists and record labels for the past 20 years. The experience created a desire to better understand the changing ways in which music is now created, distributed, and enjoyed. In recognition of my achievements, Gobierno de Chile awarded me the BecaBicentenario grant, leading me to pursue a Ph.D. in Music Technology at McGill University under the supervision of Prof. Ichiro Fujinaga. My main research interest is the design of user-centric automatic music recommendation systems.
